This style of meditation is accessible, pleasurable and profoundly beneficial. Sabrina runs 6 week courses at various times throughout the year. These are in group settings and a great space for you to develop meditation techniques to enhance your life.

Pause and Perform - meditation techniques for performance
 A 6 week course

During the course you will develop meditation techniques that support your life, your goals and ultimately your performance.  Where in life would you like to perform better?

  • Achieving your goals

  • At work or in creative thinking

  • In the gym, sports or physical ability.

  • Deepening your relationships

  • Having more balance

Whether your goals are cognitive, physical or relational, Pause and Perform will aid you in the self accountability required to achieve what you desire.

 

This course draws upon Tailored Meditation and Instinctive Meditation™ techniques. Instinctive Meditation™  is the skill of being able to meditate in a way the meets your needs in any given moment. This style of meditation has its origins in tradition, yet is modernised through science, making meditation accessible, pleasurable and profoundly beneficial.

Pause and Perform is the perfect time to embed meditation into your life.  Over the 6 weeks we will be exploring a variety of techniques, looking at their benefits, importance and having practical experience. Alongside this you will be encouraged to develop a home practice. Having access to weekly resources, accountability and in-person support, so your practice is solid and adaptable.

 

Whats involved:

Starts: Sunday April 14th  

No session on Sunday May 5th

Ends: May 26th 2024

This course consists of 6 weekly, 2 hour sessions on Sundays 4:30 - 6:30pm. That's 12 hours contact time! Each session will explore a different technique, the benefits, relevant science and why it is important. Also including practical experience of applying these techniques in a guided meditation, averaging about 30mins per session. There will also be space for questions and discussion.

 

Here is a brief overview of the course:

  • Week 1 - Introduction to Instinctive Meditation™

  • Week 2 - Safety in meditation, why is it important and how we create it

  • Week 3 - Physical needs, their relation to performance and techniques to meet them

  • Week 4 - Techniques for effortless meditation and deepening benefits through proper transition

  • Week 5 - Tools to support self exploration, accountability and discernment

  • Week 6 - Music in meditation and the technique of integration

 

Whats included:

  • A brief telephone orientation and welcoming

  • 12 hours contact time

  • Weekly check in’s and support in building your own practice

  • Weekly handouts for your reference and for use in your home practice

 

By the end of the course you will:

  • Understand the principles and science behind meditation and why it is beneficial

  • Be able to apply the techniques learnt in your own meditation practice 

  • Have at least 3 go-to meditation practices tailored to your individual needs and goals

  • Be able to meditate safely and continue to show up for your self and take accountability

  • Have meditation techniques for stress management and performance

 

What to bring:

  • A mat if you have one. Some will be provided but if you have one please bring it.

  • Pillow, bring one if you would like it for comfort.

  • There are some blankets available, again if you have them please bring them.

  • Please bring anything you want to feel comfortable and warm: bolster, eye mask, pillow, blanket, cosy socks etc. The Studio heating is on the cooler side.

  • Be sure to bring a pen and paper every session. You will be encouraged to make your own notes from the sessions. Also to note your personal experiences of meditation in the sessions and at home. You may like to have a specific journal for this course and your personal meditation practice.

  • Water and a hot drink if you would like it.

The Studio (upstairs) at The Box.

The Studio is on the first floor via a flight of stairs.

Parking: There is free parking a 6 minute walk away at Morrisons, on Flathouse rd. There may also be free, on street parking available as the session is on a Sunday. Finally there is paid parking in the Cascades carpark located behind  the The Box .

Cancellations and refunds

In unforeseen circumstances where cancellation is required refunds will be given on these terms:

Cancellation more than 1 month before the event, the full amount will be refunded.

Cancellation within one month prior to the event, half of the amount paid will be refunded.

Cancellation within one week of the course start date are non-refundable.

Refunds will be paid back into the same account.
